Carbon Offsetting
The Tandana Foundation supports sustainable travel and is proud to announce that as of April 2020, we will only be offering net zero-emission volunteer programs! This means that you don't need to worry about your carbon footprint related to joining Tandana in Ecuador for a volunteer program. Everything in your trip including airfare, local transportation, lodging, etc. will be calculated and offset with the purchase of carbon credits.
Carbon offsetting is the process of compensating for carbon dioxide emissions arising as a result of travel by the purchase of equivalent reductions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Carbon offsetting is crucial to compensate for unavoidable emissions.
Tandana calculates the total emissions after completing each volunteer program and then we purchase carbon credits. Don't feel bad about traveling because we have you covered! Live your life and give back at the same time!
